Hi Everyone!

I would like to encourage you with something that I read this week from a devotional book, “Sparkling Gems”. I thought it would be perfect for us to hear this summer as he prepare for our Project Pittsburg missions trip and our Back to School outreach in Batavia. James 1:22 says, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” Do you know that the primary reason why people get spiritually bored and loose their zeal for God is Because “Knowledge without application eventually becomes boring and unfilfilling-everytime.” (Rick Renner) We get board because we’re not doing the Word that we’ve heard preached. That’s why James tells us to be doers! In light of that…Don’t forget Project Pittsburg is coming up! Project Pittsburg is a mission’s trip into the intercity of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. This year we will be renovating the basement of Seeds of Hope Anglican Church. This church is in the heart of the city and reaches out to many single parent homes and children. This is an awesome opportunity to go on a Missions trip and serve. The cost is $250 per person. We also have Clutch Students Ministries coming to join our youth on July 25th and July 26th. We are going to do a community outreach and some service projects. If you know of anyone who is in need of some help, please let us know so we can put our youth to work. We can do yard work, moving, cleaning…whatever! The women’s running group is going to take on the Windmill Whirl Batavia 5k (3.1 miles)! This event will take place on Friday, June 11th at 7p.m. If you are interested in running, please contact Rebecca Kats at katshouse5@yahoo.com.

The Pier is at FONA this Sunday night at 6:00 PM. Please have your youth bring a bag of chips or a 2 liter to share!
